After crafting a strong presence in the Northern Rivers since 2009, Conspiracy of One now calls Brisbane home while still heavily performing in both areas. Starting in 90s alt-rock, the solo singer-songwriter has climbed many more branches of the music tree, nowadays swinging all over it like an excitable primate incorporating elements of rock, funk, blues, punk, folk, pop, RnB, finger style guitar and many more. Each show is a celebration of many different styles and interpretations of what the infinite world of music can offer.
Science, critical thinking, psychology and the human condition are all subjects that provide endless fascination and thus find their way into much of Nathan’s work. His goal is to encourage people to see both the familiar and unfamiliar from different angles, and ultimately to think for themselves rather than follow the crowd. To further this, Nathan’s songs are delivered with his signature flavour of quirky, slightly-offbeat-but-intelligent humour, sarcasm and satire inspired by the likes of Tim Minchin, Paul Dempsey, Ben Folds, Tripod and countless others.
