The NCEIA (North Coast Entertainment Industry Association) Dolphin Awards are a bit of an institution in Northern NSW.
For the last 26 years they have been showcasing and celebrating local independent and unsigned talent from Coffs Harbour to Tweed Heads and everywhere in-between.
A couple of weeks ago I entered this year’s competition with two tracks from my latest EP “Too Good to be True?” under the new Sentient Life project, and I’m excited to say that they both got through to the finals!!
(For those reading this post in the future, you’ll know the True EP is now under the name Conspiracy of One).
See Food Diet is a finalist in the “Pop” category.
It MUST be True! is a finalist in the “Rock” category.
If you haven’t already, jump onto my store and grab yourself a copy of the EP. You won’t regret it!
I’d also like to make a shout out to Nathan Stanborough, who recorded, mixed and produced the EP and helped bring it to life!
I’m up against some pretty stiff competition it seems, with quite a few winners of previous years also in the finals so it looks to be a close call. We’ll find out the results in a couple of weeks, but regardless of whether my songs win or not it’s still great just to get this far, especially considering the calibre of my fellow finalists!
You can take a look at the complete list of finalists in all categories at the Dolphin Awards website.
I’d also recommend attending the awards night in support of local original unsigned artists.
Ballina RSL Club, Tues 24th Oct 2017. Find ticket info here.
If you believe in luck, then feel free to throw some my way!
’til next time!
